Linda K. (Bookhamer) Thompson

            Linda K. Thompson, 73 of Altoona died Thursday morning August 9, 2018 at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born July 9, 1945 in Altoona a daughter of the late Elmer H. and Nova F. (Fleming) Bookhamer.

            Surviving are three children, son William Thompson; son, Michael H. Thompson; and daughter Carisa L. Benjamin; four grandchildren, Kearston Thompson, Cierra Thompson, Breana Benjamin and Seth Benjamin; two brothers, Richard E. Bookhamer and Roy E. Bookhamer; two sisters, Barbra A. Weigand and Vivian F. Plummer; and a great grandchild due in March.

            She was preceded in death by siblings, Jerry E. Bookhamer; Tom F. Bookhamer; Robert Joseph “Joe” Bookhamer; Shirley L. Mowery; Alma E. Moyer; Elnora M. Moyer; and Jean E. Friedenberger. 

            Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Thursday August 16, 2018 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
