Louise Paul Obituary

Louise D. Paul, 98 of Altoona formerly of Sinking Valley, was called home on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.

She was born June 28, 1922 in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Beulah (Foreman) Brooks.

She married Robert “Bob” H. Paul on January 19, 1946.  Bob and Louise shared 71 loving years together prior to Bob’s passing in January of 2018.

Louise is survived by two sons, David and wife Joyce of East Freedom and Robert of Sinking Valley; two grandchildren, Courtney Wessner and husband John and Ashley Lankey and husband Ron; and two great grandchildren, Emma Wessner and Victoria Lankey.

Louise was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Altoona.

She retired as a secretary from Logan Junior High School.

Louise enjoyed spending time with her family, visiting the beach with Bob, and summers sitting in her breezeway in Sinking Valley where she could take in the beautiful begonias and impatiens that she planted each year.  Louise was a positive light for all that knew her with a sweet voice that shared the wisdom that accompanies the richness of 98 years on this earth.

A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Church of the Brethren, 510 Fifth Street, Altoona, PA 16602.
