Margaret Louise "Peggy" Contreras

            Margaret Louise “Peggy” Contreras, 68, died Saturday evening, December 25, 2021, at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born October 16, 1953 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Paul V., Sr. and Martha A. (Hatch) Miller. She married Marcellino Contreras who preceded her in death July 6, 2019.

            Surviving are a son, Leon P. Hornberger; a grandson, Julian P. Hornberger; a great-granddaughter, Alyssa M. Hornberger; a brother, Patrick J. Miller (Ava); a sister, Mary J. Maurer (Dan); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul V. Miller, Jr., and Francis “Frank” Miller; and a nephew, Kevin R. Zeigler.

            Mrs. Contreras was of the Catholic faith and attended multiple churches in the Altoona area and also where she had lived in Texas.

While living in Texas, Peggy worked as a food service manager for a local school district.

            She enjoyed flowers and flower gardening, cooking, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

            At the request of the deceased, there will be no services held at this time.
