Marjorie L. Snyder

            Marjorie L. Snyder, 64 of Portage died early Friday afternoon September 29, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.

            She was born July 14, 1959, in Altoona, a daughter of Betty (Walters) Grassmyer and the late Edgar Grassmyer. She married Barry L. Snyder on March 12, 2011, in Altoona.

            Surviving are her husband, Pastor Barry L. Snyder; a son, Barry L. Snyder, Jr. of South Carolina; a grandson, Blake Snyder of Pennsylvania; her mother, Betty Grassmyer of Altoona; brother, Butch Grassmyer (Barb) of Geeseytown, sister, Barb Smith of Bellwood, sister, Janice Halton (Dave) of Altoona, and brother, Larry Grassmyer of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

            Mrs. Snyder was a member of Kingdom of God Apostolic Church, Altoona.

            She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from St. Francis University.

            Marjorie was the owner/operator of W&M Unlimited Fundraising Service.

            She was an avid fisherwoman, and she also enjoyed hunting and hiking.

            Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 3, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with her husband, Pastor Barry L. Snyder officiating.

            Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
