Mary Martha (Garman) Quarello

            Mary Martha Quarello, 82 of Altoona died Tuesday evening April 28, 2020 at her residence.       

            She was born October 8, 1937 in Juniata a daughter of the late Lemuel Paul and Sarah Priscilli (Ogden) Garman. She married Raymond G. Quarello on May 26, 1956 in Altoona. He preceded her in death October 28, 2006.

            Surviving are four children, son Samuel A. Quarello of Altoona; son Steven W. Quarello of Juniata; daughter Patty Ann Quarello of Altoona; and son Joseph Michael Quarello of Altoona; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence E. Markley and Margaret Grace Arendt both of Altoona; and a brother, Paul Garman, Jr. of Altoona.

            Mary was preceded in death by a son, Raymond G. Quarello, Jr., a sister, Kay Tuefel and a brother, Pete Garman.

            Mrs. Quarello was a former member of Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

            She retired as a cafeteria worker from the Altoona Area School District (Washington-Jefferson Elementary School) following 28 years’ service.

            There will be no viewing or funeral service.
