Michael B. "Mike" Robinson

            Michael B. “Mike” Robinson, 82 of Altoona died Sunday afternoon June 4, 2023, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

            He was born November 5, 1940, in Elmira, NY, a son of the late Francis and Helen (Prindible) Robinson. He married Rosalie M. Gregg on February 14, 1976, in Altoona. She preceded him in death May 28, 2020.           

            Surviving are four children, daughter Michelle J. Robinson, daughter Molly J. Robinson, son Mark J. Robinson, and son Sean F. Robinson (Rachel) all of Altoona; and five grandchildren, Morgan, Olivia, Johnna, Anthony, and Owen.

            Mr. Robinson was a graduate of Indiana University, Ft. Wayne campus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

            Mike retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission following sixteen years’ service. Previously, he had been the owner/operator of Standard Supply and Equipment.

            He was an avid collector of all sorts of items including a vast beer can collection.

            Mike was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society, a life member of the Heidelberg Country Club, and he was a life member of the United Veterans Association (UVA).

            A memorial service is planned to be held in the near future, notice of which will be made in the Altoona Mirror.

            Interment will be made at East Ridge Cemetery, Westover.
