Miriam Janet (Mack) Conway

            Miriam Janet Conway, 86 of Altoona died early Sunday morning October 4, 2020 at Aristacare at Woodland Park, Orbisonia.

            She was born July 19, 1934 in Altoona a daughter of the late Howard Joseph and Irene Blanche (McGraw) Mack. She married James P. Conway on June 26, 1965 in Altoona. He preceded her in death June 7, 2011.

            Surviving are two sons, Ronald J. Mack (Juanita “Nita”) of Reno, NV; Rodney P. Conway (Sharon Donahue) of Ocean Pines, MD; six grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Jennifer, Jada, Ted and James; four great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.

            Janet was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Mack, John Mack, Helen Mack, Donald Mack, Gerald “Taxi” Mack, Richard “Charlie” Mack and Thomas Mack.

            Mrs. Conway was a very active member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona.

            She was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School.

            Janet was an active member at Blair Senior Services.

            Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday October 9, 2020 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a vigil service for the deceased will be held at 4:00 p.m. (please use masks and social distancing protocols)

            A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 10, 2020 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona with very Rev. Ronald V. Osinski, celebrant.

            Interment will be made at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
