Patricia L. “Pat” Ickes Wilt, 91 of Altoona went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly early Saturday morning March 11, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born August 10, 1931, in Altoona a daughter of the late Wilson H. and Hazel (Blissard) Jones. She was twice married, first on January 25, 1958 to G. Ross Ickes who preceded her in death February 20, 2007, then on August 31, 2013 to Arthur M. Wilt.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur; four children, son Thomas R. Ickes of Greenville, SC, son Scott A. Ickes (Amy) of Davisburg, MI, daughter Susan D. Ritchey (Jerry) of Altoona, daughter Carol A. Miller (Tony) of Altoona; eight grandchildren, Theresa Blome (Steve), Melissa Burrell (Jeff), Wendy Ickes, Travis Ickes (Carrie Daut), Megan Ritchey (Josh Souder), Patrick Ickes, Jason Miller, Casey Miller; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Amy, Lia, and Landon; stepson Jody M. Wilt (Sandy Miller) of Altoona; sister Nancy Rabuck of Fairless Hills, and sister Lois Harris of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.
Pat was preceded in death by two sisters, Vina Short, and Joanne Becker.
Mrs. Wilt was a longtime member of the former Christ Second Lutheran Church, Altoona.
She was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, most especially, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid Penn State sports fan, and also enjoyed playing Bunko with her friends.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and was a volunteer at the Altoona Hospital for many years.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Thursday March 16, 2023, and 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Friday March 17, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday with Rev. Ralph W. Hamer officiating. Interment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
