Patricia Ann "Pat" Marks

            Patricia Ann “Pat” Marks, 76, of Altoona died Monday afternoon March 14, 2022, at UPMC Altoona following a brief illness.

            She was born September 13, 1945, in Altoona a daughter of the late Oliver E. and Jean E. (Grove) Graffius. She married John Clayton Marks on September 25, 1965, in Altoona.

            Surviving are her husband of 56 years, John; a son, John E. Marks (Danyelle) of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Carol Marks; a nephew, Jeff Marks, both of Riggles Gap; two aunts, Peggy McCready of Altoona, and Dolores McCloskey (Bill) of Bellwood; and numerous extended family members and friends.

            Pat was preceded in death by an infant daughter and her parents.

            Patricia was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Altoona.

            She was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School.

            Pat was previously employed at Stepping Stone Day Care in Altoona and as a cashier for Riverside at the Golf Hill, Station Mall, and Lloyd Street locations.

            She enjoyed going on trips to Atlantic City, watching old tv shows, spending time with her son and daughter-in-law and going to lunch with her best friend, Joy.

            Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 19, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Drew McCaffery officiating.  Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
