Rebecca Marie “Becky” Hoffman, 84, of Altoona went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening December 25, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 6, 1937, in Altoona a daughter of the late George and Mary E. (Allison) Butterbaugh. She married Ray E. Hoffman, Sr. on November 16, 1957, in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death September 18, 2009.
Surviving are five children, daughter Christine Snyder (Dan) of Tyrone, daughter Tina Diehl (Don) of Duncansville, son Ray Hoffman, Jr. (Laura), son Karl Hoffman, daughter Mary Waterhouse (Charles) all of Altoona; seven grandchildren, Tracey, Jaime, Heather, Steven, Jason, Kaylee, and Arianne; seven great grandchildren, Arabella, Brayleigh, Jaxon, Eliza, Wyatt, Carson, and Colin; four brothers, David, Bob, Ron, and John Butterbaugh; and two sisters, Patty Reimer and Jean Butterbaugh; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by sisters, Barb Diehl, and Phyllis Chesney, and brothers, Steve and George Butterbaugh, and infant sister, Evelen Ann Butterbaugh.
Mrs. Hoffman was a member of Fourth Street Church of God.
She was employed at McDonald’s and was previously employed as a knitter by Warnaco.
Becky enjoyed crocheting, plastic canvas embroidery, decorating cakes, and most especially, spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 30, 2021, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc, 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Matthew Hornberger officiating.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
