Richard Wayne “Rick, Rich” Fry, Jr., 61 of Altoona died Sunday morning January 12, 2020 at his residence.
He was born April 22, 1958 in Altoona a son of the late Richard Wayne and Dorothy Kay (Gority) Fry.
Surviving are two sisters, Lorena A. Lallemand of Hollidaysburg and Susan K. Ickes (Tim) of Flinton; two nieces, Daphne Ickes of Ramey and Sarah Traveny of Cresson; eight great nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Candice Bonghi; and numerous extended family members.
Mr. Fry was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.
He was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
Rick was employed by Skills of Central Pennsylvania for over 20 years.
He enjoyed reading; watching TV; computers; and gambling.
He was a member of the A. R. C. of Blair County and was past president of “Speaking for Ourselves” a group for which he spoke and traveled extensively.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday January 14, 2020 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Sandell officiating. Interment will be made at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona.
