Robert P. "Bud" Noll

            Robert P. “Bud” Noll, 92, of Altoona, died at home early Friday morning, April 28, 2023.

            He was born April 2, 1931, in Spring Mills a son of the late Paul A. and Ellen R. (Musser) Noll. He married Carol A. Dillen on June 20, 1964, in Altoona.

            Surviving are his wife, Carol; two children, son Eric S. Noll (Nancy), and daughter Melissa A. Lingenfelter (Ken) both of Altoona; four grandchildren, Rachel L. Lingenfelter (Cody Offman) of Altoona, Micaleigh D. Noll of Lakeland, FL, Evan S. Noll (Emily Fusco) of Pendergrass, Georgia, and Kyle A. Lingenfelter of Altoona; a sister, Christine N. “Teeny” Thompson of Roaring Spring; and numerous extended family members.

            Bud was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie M. Stitzer, and Carol N. Booher.

            He was a 1948 graduate of Altoona High School.

            He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War era attaining the rank of Airman First Class.

            Bud retired as a loan operations officer from Mid-State Bank on April 1, 1991, following 43 years’ service.

            He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, his pond, and his Schnauzers.

            Bud was a member of many organizations over the course of his lengthy career in banking, which, among others includes, the Hollidaysburg Jaycees where he served a term as president.

            At Bud’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral services.
