Robin L. Jones

            Robin L. Jones, 58 of Altoona, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday October 19, 2022, following a brief illness.

            She was born October 14, 1964, in Altoona a daughter of Donald W. and Arlene (Corle) Salsgiver.

            She married Dwayne Jones who preceded her in death.

            Surviving are her son, Alan J. Clouser; her parents; her fiancé, Henry G. Savino with whom she resided; and a niece Danielle Tinsley all of Altoona.

            She was preceded in death by a sister, Lori A. Myers.

            Robin was a 1982 graduate of Altoona Area High School, and following, attended Penn State Altoona.

            She was formerly employed for many years as a Certified Nurse Assistant at many locations including Bon Secours Hospital and Family Services. She had also worked in the dietary department of Bon Secours and domestic services for Sen. Robert Jubelirer.

            She was an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed target shooting (she held a concealed carry permit), cooking, camping, old western movies, hunting with her father and sister, and her plants (she had a green thumb).

            Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 25, 2022, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Harold Corle officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations please be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602.
