Scott Allen “Scottie-Dawg” Styers, 46 of Altoona died early Wednesday morning March 13, 2019 at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1973 in Altoona a son of the late Robert and Judith Styers. He married Nellie Sue Prevento on February 14, 2002 in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie; four children, son Noah Scott Styers of Altoona; daughter Suzanne Marie Field of Altoona; son Hershal Andrew Field of Claysburg; son Christopher Michael Field of Altoona; one granddaughter and three grandsons; a nephew Robert Styers, III and his girlfriend, Ashley Bare of Duncansville; one great nephew and two great nieces; his in-laws Andrew and Susanne Prevento of Altoona; and his best friend since childhood John Patterson.

Scott was preceded in death by a brother Robert Styers, Jr.

Mr. Styers was formerly employed as a handler for Burgmeier Hauling and as a laborer for many different local companies.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.

A Celebration of Life for Scott is planned for a future date.
