Sharen Ferguson Obituary

            Sharen A. (Luciano) Ferguson, 77 of Altoona went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening March 28, 2020 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.

            She was born October 19, 1942 in Blain City a daughter of the late Daniel A. and Anna Mae (Warrender) Luciano. She married Harold L. Ferguson on December 21, 1963 at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God where she has been a member for the past 66 years.

            Surviving are her husband, Harold; two sons, Tucker Ferguson (Lisa) of Liberty Hill, TX; Troy Ferguson (Kelly) of Altoona; four grandchildren, Adam (Asia), Zach, Jaxson and Parker; a brother, Ralph Luciano (Donna) of Altoona; two sisters, Marcy Hoover (Jim) of Duncansville and Debbie Ross (Ron) of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

            Mrs. Ferguson was a member of Trans4mation Church, Altoona (formerly Pleasant Valley Assembly of God) where she served as the church secretary for 20 years and was the church pianist for 40 years.

            Sharen was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School.

            Prior to her church employment, she was employed as a secretary by Pepsi-Cola.

            She enjoyed music.

            Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public viewing.

            A future Celebration of Life service is planned to be held at Trans4mation Church, Altoona.

            Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

            In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations please be made to Trans4mation Church, 1001 South First Street, Altoona, PA 16602.
