Sherry R. (Trostle) Rickabaugh

            Sherry R. Rickabaugh 52, of Altoona died Thursday afternoon July 16, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

            She was born July 23, 1967 in Altoona a daughter of the late Francis J. and JoAnn C. (Taylor) Trostle. She married Patrick A. Rickabaugh on March 17, 2001 at the former Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

            Surviving are her husband, Patrick; two sons, Justin P. Trostle (Traci) and James A. Rickabaugh both of Altoona; three grandchildren, Justin P. Trostle, Jr., Branson Trostle and Stella Trostle; her mother, JoAnn C. Trostle; three brothers, Robert “Bob” Trostle (Anna), Francis “Butch” Trostle, III and Bernard A. “Bud” Trostle, all of Altoona and a special grand-nephew Shawn Trostle.

            Mrs. Rickabaugh was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

She was a 1985 graduate of Altoona Area High School and she also attended Mount Aloysius College.

Sherry retired as a certified nurse assistant from Garvey Manor Nursing Home in 2013 following two years’ service. She previously had been employed as a proof operator for M&T Bank Operations.

            She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, canning, cooking, traveling, and walking.

            Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

            Interment will be made at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona.
