Shirley L. Trindel

            Shirley L. Trindel, 90 died early Sunday morning May 7, 2023, at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

            She was born June 5, 1932, in Altoona, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lodema (Sheets) Havlin. She was twice married, first to Fred Scott, then to Joseph Trindel both of whom preceded her in death.

            Surviving are three grandsons, Jason F. Miller of Bedford, Thomas Scott, and Joseph Scott both of Altoona; a great granddaughter Brianna Miller of Bedford; and a special nephew, Corey Havlin of Altoona, and a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Scott.

            Shirley was preceded in death by a son, Rick Scott; and a brother, Thomas Havlin, Jr.

            Ms. Trindel was a very active member of Second Avenue Church, where she was a member of the Kings Crusaders Sunday School class, and where she participated in numerous other church activities.

            She was a member of the Altoona Johnstown Tres Dias Christian ministry.

            Shirley was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School.

            She enjoyed arts and crafts projects, working outdoors, and helping many persons in her Christian walk.

            Friends will be received from 10-11 am Saturday May 27, 2023, at Second Avenue Church, 130 Second Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian Sandell officiating. Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery.
