Steven A. “Pepsi” Dey, 80, of Altoona, died Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
Born on September 25, 1941 in Fort Benning, Georgia, a son of the late Herbert R. Jr. and Jean Yvonne (Brown) Dey. On May 11, 1984, he married Debra Ann Bollman in Roaring Spring.
Surviving are eight children: Randy Boyles (Calvinna Weyandt), Paul Dey (Lisa), Tracie Selwitz, Amy Metz (Dennis “Chip), Brian Dey, Keith Dey (Sparkle), Susan Zeigler (Michael), Cory Dey (Renee); fifteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two siblings: Ronald Dey and Sandra Lee Fishell; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Preceded in death by a son-in-law: Kenneth Selwitz and a brother-in-law: Edward E. “Gene” Fishell.
Steven was a 1959 graduate of Altoona High School. Following graduation, he proudly went on to serve in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He then went on to work as delivery personnel for Pepsi. Steven was also employed by the SKF Company as a mechanic from April 1968 until his retirement in October 2003.
He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
