Terri A. McGilvray, 61, of Altoona gained her wings Wednesday afternoon January 4, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born September 28, 1961, in Altoona a daughter of the late John Howard and Judith Ann (Pry) Rhine. She married Michael R. McGilvray who is surviving.
Also surviving are two sons, Tucker and Dylan McGilvray both at home; a sister, Penny J. Miller (James) of Altoona; a brother, Kevin Rhine of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Wendy Corle (Gary) of Altoona; a brother, Scott A. Rhine of Altoona; special aunt and uncle, Edie Frederick (John); and numerous extended family members including nieces and nephews, as well as, special nephew, Josh Albright.
Terri was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
She enjoyed cooking for others, animals, watching squirrels on the feeder, computers, and a good laugh. She especially enjoyed spending time with her sons. She enjoyed watching sports on TV with anyone who cared to watch. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and NASCAR fan.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers, who tended to her and the boys throughout the years.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday January 10, 2023 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to a fund for the benefit of her sons Tucker and Dylan, sent in care of the funeral home, would be appreciated.
