Thomas Robert "Tom" Campbell

            Thomas Robert “Tom” Campbell, 73 of Altoona died Sunday evening April 26, 2020 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.

            He was born October 28, 1946 in Altoona a son of the late Melvin K. and Bertha N. (Hunter) Campbell. He married Robin Juleen Helsel on July 15, 2000 in Altoona.

            Surviving are his wife, Robin; a daughter Blair Aileen Campbell at home; a sister, Patty Berkheimer of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

            Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Helsel.

            Mr. Campbell was a member of Broad Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

            He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Viet Nam era.

He was formerly employed by Charles Caracciolo Steel & Metal Yard, Inc., Altoona.

            Tom enjoyed drawing/sketching and antique cars.

            At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing.
