Virginia E. Burket

            Virginia E. Burket, 84 of Altoona died Monday morning September 25, 2023, at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.

            She was born September 7, 1939, in Altoona, a daughter of the late James Blair and Sarah (Edmundson) Burket.

            Surviving six children, son F. Michael Musselman (Angela Pabst); daughter Cheryl M. Pfahler; daughter Pamela A. Brooks; son Samuel B. Musselman (Rhonda); son Nicholas L. Musselman all of Altoona; son David R. Musselman (Angelina) of West Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Musselman of Altoona; and numerous extended family members.

            Virginia was preceded in death by a son, Stephen R. Musselman on July 3, 2016.

            She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

            She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont.

            Virginia was a 1957 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

            She enjoyed camping, especially in cabins, and playing Bingo.

            A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 5, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 309 Lotz Avenue, Lakemont, Altoona with Monsignor Michael Becker officiating.

            Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
