Vivian F. "Viv" (Bookhamer) Plummer

            Vivian F. “Viv” Plummer, 84 of Juniata, Altoona died early Tuesday morning April 28, 2020 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

            She was born July 2, 1935 in Altoona a daughter of the late Elmer Harry and Nova Frances (Putt) Bookhamer. She married William Chester Plummer on June 18, 1955 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death March 1, 1992.

            Surviving are four children, son Timothy William Plummer (Brenda), son Bruce Bryan Plummer (Vicky), daughter Karen Teresa McKee (Robert) and daughter Vonda Kay Whitfield (Steve);  ten grandchildren, Julie Plummer, Bryan Plummer, Michele Plummer, Sarah McKee, Jacob McKee, Todd Plummer, Jennifer Plummer, Deven Whitfield, Stephanie Rice and Erin Whitfield; five great grandchildren, Kara Plummer, Allison Brown, Sophia Plummer, Quinn Carter, and Benson Lewis; sister Barbara Weigand, and brothers, Roy Bookhamer and Richard Bookhamer.

            Viv was preceded in death by a son, Daniel; a grandson, Jason; and five sisters, Eleanor Moyer, Alma Moyer, Shirley Mowery, Jean Friedenberger and Linda Thompson and three brothers, Robert Joseph Bookhamer, Gerald Bookhamer and Thomas Bookhamer.

            Mrs. Plummer was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata.

            She retired as a supervisor at C-COR Electronics following 20 years’ service and had previously been employed as a cook at Cathy’s Restaurant.

            Viv enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gardening and decorating.

            A private viewing will be held at the convenience of the family.
