Vivian Arlene Pruznak, 82 of Altoona died Sunday evening July 2, 2023, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born August 26, 1940, in Duncansville, a daughter of the late Leroy Magill and Olive (Mangus) Magill Conrad. She married Francis J. Pruznak on August 22, 2001.
Surviving are her husband, Francis; seven children, William Edwards, III of Port Clinton, OH, Regina Lee (Wilbur) of Puzzletown, Michael Edwards (Tammy) of Flinton, Cheryl Edwards of Altoona, Sherry Baker of Duncansville, Jayson Edwards of Martinsburg, and Colrenna Smith of Altoona; three step-children, David Pruznak (Ann) of Harrisburg, Bryan Pruznak (Hope) of Boiling Springs, and Kevin Pruznak (Kerry) of Sinking Valley; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
Arlene was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Reed, and two brothers, Jack, and Herbert Magill.
Mrs. Pruznak was a member of New Life Alliance Church, East Freedom where she dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus.
She was a 1958 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
She retired from the dietary department of James E. VanZandt VAMC in 2002 following seventeen years’ service.
Arlene enjoyed camping.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her zest for life. Arlene leaves behind a legacy of memories that will forever be held dear.
Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday July 7, 2023, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 8, 2023, at New Life Alliance Church, 2879 Everett Road, East Freedom where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ed Jelliff officiating.
Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
