William Edward “Bill” Hann, 69, of Altoona, died December 10, 2021, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, following a brief illness.
He was born August 19, 1952, in Altoona, a son of the late William Henry and Elizabeth Jane (McNelis) Hann. He married Lisa Nailor on May 25, 1995, in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Surviving, along with his wife of 26 years, are three children: Joshua Lee Hann (Jamie), Katharine Rose Hann (Dean), and Hayden William Hann; two grandsons: Jeremiah and Jacob; two brothers: Patrick and Eugene Hann; his Lenning/Hann siblings; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Mr. Hann was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Bill attended Hollidaysburg Area High School.
He retired as a van driver from Blair Senior Services, and previously, he drove van for many years for Senior Life and Health South.
Bill’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He enjoyed playing guitar on his porch for his neighbors to hear, watching old black and white Western movies, kayaking, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his dog, “Dilly”.
Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday December 16, 2021, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc, 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Sandell officiating.
