Winfred L. Holland

            Winfred Leighton Holland, 71, of Altoona, died early Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.

            Born on July 7, 1950 in Patton, a son of the late James and Mary Holland.

            Survived by three siblings, James Holland of Patton, Estelle Fox of Patton, and MaryEllen Fishel of Altoona; a nephew, Robert Feather of Altoona; two nieces, Paula Aurandt and Susan Fishel, both of Altoona.

            He was preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn Feather and Becky Holland and a brother, Bobby Holland.

            Winfred was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School. He then went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy.

            He was employed as a caregiver for Skills of Central PA for over 20+ years until his retirement.

            Winfred enjoyed building model airplanes and naval ships, traveling, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a lifetime member of Patton V.F.W. Post 779.

            At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.
