Stephen Lynn Ross, 44 of Altoona, died Wednesday morning June 22, 2016 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born May 18, 1972 in Altoona, a son of Gene G. and Jacqueline J. (Lehman) Ross. He married Becky Jean Wertman on May 18, 1996 in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife Becky; his parents; two brothers, David and wife Michelle Ross of Pittsburgh and Thomas and wife Debra Ross of Altoona; two sisters, Sharon and husband Michael Loomis of Altoona and Sue and husband Jeff Rabish of Gallitzin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stephen was preceded in death by a grandfather, Walter Ross.

He was a member of Second Avenue United Methodist Church, Altoona.

He was a 1991 graduate of Altoona High School.

Mr. Ross worked at the former Ross Mobile Homes and enjoyed working on cars and rescuing pit bulls.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 25, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona. Where a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Godissart officiating. Committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
