Jeanne Patricia Walter, 84 of Juniata, Altoona died Tuesday afternoon September 5, 2017 at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.           

            She was born August 17, 1933 in Altoona a daughter of the late William Breslin and Ethel May (Wise) Weigley. She married Paul J. Walter on February 7, 1955 in Fayetteville, NC.

            Surviving are her husband, Paul; a son, Jeffrey P. Walter at home; a brother William P. Weigley and his wife Barbara of Altoona; and also a nephew and niece and their families.

            Jeanne was preceded in death by a son, Gregg W. Walter and a sister Marjorie Burns and her husband, Byron.

            She was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School.

            Mrs. Walter was employed as a title clerk for various A.A.A. offices for over forty years.

            Jeanne enjoyed old movies, roller skating and square dancing.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

            Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Friday September 8, 2017 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday September 11, 2017 with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation Serving the Alleghenies, 2403 Sidney Street, Suite 230, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
