Cathy L. Horton, 54 of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday September 21, 2016 at home after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late William and Mary (Lonesky) Pfahler. She married John F. Horton, Sr.  on November 13, 1993 in West Virginia.

Surviving are her husband John; four children, William Bowers and wife Pam, John Horton, Jr. and fiancé Brittany, Tara Bowers and Stacey Spallone and husband Vinnie; seven grandchildren, Nathaniel, Dustin, Vinnie, Johnny, Kiara, Adrianna, Aubrey; a great granddaughter, Sydnee; former daughter in law Rashida; five siblings, Kate and husband Jim, Bill and wife Monica, Diane and husband Bob, Walt and wife Missy, Tammy and husband Punky; beloved puppy Mya; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Charlie Bowers and a brother Tom Pfahler.

Cathy loved spending time with family, bingo and going to the races.

Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday September 26, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona. Where a funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Internment will be made at Oreminea Cemetery, Williamsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to funeral home in care of the family.
