Nancy G. “Gram” “GeeGee” Donelson, 93, Altoona, died Friday February 24, 2017, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was born January 27, 1924, in Brownsville, daughter of the late Ralph and Janie (Yates) Greenwood. She married Richard E. Donelson on May 17, 2007, in Hollidaysburg. She had been previously married twice, first for 45 years to the Rev. Carl Thomas, who preceded her in death in January 1988. She then shared 17 years of marriage with Warren Medasia, who preceded her in death in 2006.

Surviving are her three children: Darla Robson and husband, the Rev. Donald, of Somerset, the Rev. Rodney Thomas and wife, Barbara, of Masontown and Philip Thomas and wife, Brenda, of Duncansville; nine grandchildren: DeAnna Zimmerman, Denise Schomer, Darlene Willoughby, Samantha Longstreet, Billy Myers, Timothy Thomas, Tiffany  Crowder, Benjamin Thomas, Joshua Thomas;  multiple great-grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Bennett; a stepson, Wayne Medasia; and two step-daughters: Nancy Hinkledire and Linda Dent.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donnie Robson; and a sister, Margaret Pata.

Nancy was a 1941 graduate of Brownsville High School. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Altoona. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing the piano and singing, especially as a member of the Singing Thomas Family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at First Church of the Brethren, 510 Fifth St., Altoona, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with Pastor Bill Pepper officiating.
