Ream H. Douglas, 91 of Altoona died Thursday May 19, 2016 at his residence.

            He was born January 21, 1925 in McDonaldtown, PA; the son of the late Jess and Ruth (Krouse) Douglas. He married Ruby A. Ogden on June 30, 1950 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2007.

            Surviving are a son, Scott Douglas of Altoona; a daughter, Tina Douglas of Altoona; a grandson, Jason S. Douglas; a step granddaughter, Stephanie Iachini; and a half sister, Gail Ross.

            Mr. Douglas was a U.S. Army Veteran.

            Ream retired as a fireman from the Altoona Fire Department on December 31, 1986 after 35 years of service.

            Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday May 23, 2016 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona.

            Internment will take place at Blair Memorial Park.
